Overview

Spring school THE SUSTAINABLE USE OF RESOURCES IN MARINE-COASTAL AREA took place at the University of Molise in Termoli, from 11th May to 13th May 2022.

Seminars were organised by the Region Molise and UNIMOL under the INTERREG IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro project SMART ADRIA Blue Growth.

Spring school gathered almost one hundred participants (in presence and online), including representatives of academia, businesses and public sector coming from Italy, Albania and Montenegro. During the first day there were important speakers from sustainable tourism and gastronomy linked to the sea resources (Prof. Dell'Agnese Milano Bicocca, dr. Priante of UNWTO, prof. Etcheverria from the  France, Rector Pollice of University of Salento and prof. Giagnacovo University of Molise). The second day was dedicated to the sustainable uses of sea resources and the best practices for the marine environments managements presented by prof. Reale (University of Molise), prof. Congestri (Tor Vergata University), dr. Mascilongo (Zooprophylactic Institute of Abruzzo and Molise) and dr. Guidotti (Guidotti Shop), dr. Santa Vitucci, dr. Miccolis and dr. Gadaleta Caldarola form Region Puglia (SABG project partner), dr. Cariglia (Consorzio Gargano Pesca) and dr. Pinna and dr. D'Agnese (MICOPERI Blue Growth).

The closing session addressed how to use EU funding programmes in blue and green sectors, with the presence of Dr. De Angelis from APRE.
